About the role
As a Caregiver at Alden, you’ll deliver high-quality personal care and support residents’ well-being. You’ll work closely with nursing staff and the care team to maintain smooth, safe, and culturally responsive care throughout your shift.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide personal care with respect and compassion
- Administer medications in line with your Medication Competency and Alden policies
- Support residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being
- Observe and report changes in resident health and behaviour
- Maintain a safe, clean, and culturally responsive environment, upholding Tikanga Māori practices
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care
Skills & experience
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa (we are unable to provide visa support for this role)
- NZQA Level 3 or 4 Health & Wellbeing qualification (essential)
- Experience in an aged care environment
- Strong understanding of Health & Disability Sector Standards
- Calm, professional, and reliable approach
