Te Hā Oranga is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations & Compliance Manager to join our team and support the delivery of high‑quality services across our organisation. This is a key leadership role that ensures our operations, reporting, quality systems and compliance processes are robust, effective, and aligned with the kaupapa and strategic direction of Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whātua.

About the Role
The Operations & Compliance Manager provides leadership across operational delivery, quality assurance, compliance and reporting, systems improvement and organisational capability. Working closely with the GM Te Hā Oranga and the wider management team, you will ensure our services are fit for purpose, sustainable, culturally grounded, and aligned with Rūnanga strategy.
This is a diverse role that requires strong relationship skills, critical thinking, and the ability to lead continuous improvement across multiple workstreams.
You will:
· Lead quality assurance, audits, risk and compliance
· Support day‑to‑day operations and organisational improvement
· Work closely with the GM and management team
· Coordinate IT systems, fleet processes, and administration support
· Build strong relationships and support strategic projects
· Ensure reporting, processes, and systems meet organisational and legislative standards
About You
You will bring:
· 3+ years in operations, quality, or compliance leadership
· Strong leadership, relationship and communication skills
· Experience working in kaupapa Māori or community environments
· Ability to lead teams, manage projects, and drive continuous improvement
· Knowledge of Ngāti Whātua, te reo me ngā tikanga (desirable but not essential)
