Head of Finance & IT

We’re currently recruiting a Head of Finance and IT, this role will ideally be based in Dunedin but for the right candidate there is flexibility in this regard. This opportunity allows enables real influence over how the business operates. About the Role

As the Head of Finance & IT, you’ll sit on the executive team and work closely with the CEO and senior leaders to strengthen performance, improve reporting synergies, and streamline the systems that support day-to-day operations.

This role is about influence and outcomes, you’ll have sharp financial leadership paired with practical technology ownership (vendor-led, not hands-on IT support).

In this role, you will:

• Lead financial performance across budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and monthly reporting

• Provide commercial insight that helps leaders make faster, better decisions

• Own IT outcomes, including business systems performance, vendor management and service reliability

• Drive practical improvements to reporting, data quality, and how technology is used across teams

• Lift risk management and cyber awareness through sensible policies, access control and vendor accountability

• Lead and develop a small finance/admin function and build strong operational rhythms

• Assist in the development of AI programs and systems to help the rest of the business

What You Will Bring

• Finance leadership experience with strong commercial judgement

• Confidence working at management level and influencing operational leaders

• A history of improving reporting, visibility, controls and business performance

• Comfort owning systems/IT outcomes via vendors and internal stakeholders (you don’t need to be a technical engineer)

• A practical, calm approach, can prioritise, simplify, and deliver
