Dental Clinic Receptionist

About the Role

Caring 4 Smiles Dental Group is seeking an experienced and friendly Dental Clinic Receptionist to join our team in Epsom, Auckland. As a full-time Dental Clinic Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, responsible for managing the front-of-house operations and providing top-notch customer service. Work hours Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm including a 1 hour lunch break. ( Start & end times can be negotiated to suit the best candidate ).

What You'll Be Doing

• Greeting patients warmly and managing the reception area effectively.

• Scheduling appointments, confirming bookings, and liaising with patients & clinicians.

• Handling patient inquiries, both in person and over the phone, with a positive and professional manner.

• Maintaining accurate patient records and updating patient information in our database.

• Assisting with administrative tasks, such as processing payments, ACC paperwork and ordering supplies.

• Managing staff, payroll, ordering supplies and coordinating patient treatment.

• Ensuring the reception area is well-organized and presentable at all times

• Providing support to the dental team as needed

• Creating practice rosters.

• Property management and maintenance of the practice equipment.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2+ years of experience working in a similar customer service or administrative role, preferably within the healthcare or dental industry

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in using computer systems and dental practice management software e.g. EXACT DENTAL, SMARTLY, EMAIL, MS OFFICE. Dental practice software can be learned on the job easily.

• A team-player attitude and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities

• A positive, friendly, and customer-focused approach
