I left Linkforce in 2021 to try something different, and came back in 2023. Nothing compares to the good team culture and growth opportunity.
The good thingsThe people! An amazing, hard working team. Flexible work conditions between office & working from home. Amazing head office facilities. Lots of opportunity to move around within the business - if you're a hard worker, Linkforce will look after you.
The challengesHigh pressure work, but support is there if you ask for it.

Excellent entry point into the mining industry and mobilisation
The good thingsA great way to get your foot in the door, they take the time to train you. Being a Planner is not for the faint-hearted, it's a fun job if you like a fast pace and can adapt to ongoing last minute changes. The team are lovely and supportive. The best part of the job is the 8/6 roster, with WFH split
The challengesExpect long hours and unpaid overtime during peak periods. Management do not expect you to stay back but given the nature of the job this is sometimes required to get the job done. The salary reflects an entry level job, pay increases are non-existent unless you move roles.

I decided to leave this job to take up an offshore opportunity, but if I ever needed to return, I wouldn’t hesitate to come back here.
The good thingsWorking here has been an incredibly valuable and memorable experience. The company places a strong emphasis on teamwork and strictly adheres to safety protocols. Employees can request holidays anytime, which provides the flexibility to balance work and personal commitments—even allowing for the possibility of taking on a second job. For those looking to increase their income, the company is open to requests and provides additional opportunities. They also actively encourage professional growth by supporting employees in obtaining certifications, sometimes even offering financial assistance. What stands out the most is the company’s genuine commitment to listening to its employees. HR teams regularly visit worksites to engage with staff and hear their concerns directly—something I found truly remarkable and inspiring. Communication with the company is reliable. Whether through email or phone, responses are prompt, and I have never experienced a situation where my concerns went unanswered. On particularly challenging or extremely hot days, the Safety team goes above and beyond. They distribute ice poles, check on workers’ well-being, and share safety advice. This thoughtful gesture left a lasting impression on me, showcasing the company’s dedication to its employees' health and safety. Overall, this company stands out for its flexibility, support, and unwavering commitment to its employees. It’s a place where you feel heard, cared for, and valued—an experience I will always cherish.
The challengesWorking as a scaffolder has occasionally been physically challenging, but these challenges were always manageable with effort and determination. As someone for whom English is a second language, there were moments when I struggled to fully express myself. However, I consistently received support and understanding from my colleagues, which helped me overcome these situations effectively. This experience has been both rewarding and invaluable, allowing me to grow both professionally and personally.

The most supportive company I've worked for by far! They genuinely help you achieve your goals and recognize your potential. In the HR team we enjoy great conversations and when it's time to focus, we motivate each other to get the job done.
The good thingsI've had a really positive experience at Linkforce, largely due to the HR team. They bring together a diverse group of personalities that complement each other so well, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. If I weren't moving countries, I would definitely stay much longer!
The challengesEach day brings new challenges, but overcoming them is highly rewarding! My managers specifically do a great job at ensuring you receive recognition for your achievements, whether big or small.

Loved the people but was happy to see the back of management and the company
The good thingsThe team were extremely supportive, if I was having a bad day, I could always lean on my co-workers for support
The challengesManagement, constant change in management and then the last manager on site completely changed moral on site which made it hell for the last few months. There were talks of opportunities and growth and when it came to walk the walk, there was nothing.

The challenges- being away from home - susceptible to sudden change of plan

You quickly realise just how important building relationships are at Linkforce and just how loyalty is held in the highest of regards.
The good thingsAt Linkforce you are surround with likeminded professionals’ with strong values. You are made to feel part of something which rewards you for your contribution and part of a team that has your back. The place has an infectious energy as soon as you walk through the doors that can’t be duplicated.
The challengesAll workplaces have challenges, but if you are willing to work though the challenges it can be extremely rewarding, with a team who is all for celebrating the wins.

    Great learning experience.
The good thingsFantastic opportunity to enter the mining industry . Starting in the mining industry is quite dautning , however the leadership team are extremely welcoming and apporachable . The flexability of when you want to work gives you a great Work / life balance . Once you have been on a few Shuts the culture and camararderie keeps you coming back for more.
The challengesNot knowing when your flight is until the second to last day on site can be quite frustrating - as it gives you little time to organise personal commitments . If they provided a set roster , that would be Perfect.

Great to work for, love the flexibility and their App.
The good thingsThe flexibility is awesome, I work as little or as much as I like and choose when I take RnR. Their App is great for planning your schedule and booking your own RnR. Also a great variety of work, not stuck on one site.
The challengesNo real issues, some people prefer full time, but in the mines full time means working Xmas or New Years, not at Linkforce.

Great entry point for green fitters and boilermakers with a mass amount of flexibility.
The good thingsThe flexibility with the Linkforce app is a huge benefit. The range of different locations you can work in makes everyday different. e.g. from the Pilbara to Olympic Dam
The challengesA lot of people are fresh to mining as Linkforce is a entry point for fitters and boilermakers. The down side is that workers that have quite a bit of experience are taken advantaged of, by being selected as team leader with no incentive. Also the amount of non-skilled jobs that tradesman have to do is more often then should be e.g. rollers, skirts, scrubber liners etc etc
