What's it like to be a Forklift Driver?
A Forklift Driver is tasked with operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a warehouse or factory setting. They must adhere to safety regulations, inspect and maintain equipment, and document inventory movement. Forklift Drivers must maneuve heavy equipment in tight, crowded spaces.
Tasks and duties
- Load and unload containers and trucks.
- Transport goods to designated areas.
- Use the correct equipment in a safe and efficient way to minimise damage to stock and equipment.
- Inspect, control and perform minor repairs to reduce wear and damage to forklifts.
